I had been working for a company doing 7.5 ton work for the past 3 years, but there was no way for me to advance in my career, so I decided to book my Class 1 and Class 2 tests and become an HGV driver as I love driving.
The theory test was very hard but I worked hard and passed 1st time. Then onto my practical tests. Class 2 I found easy and passed. My Class 1 was OK but took 2 attempts but I finally got there!
When I was looking for work I was finding that most companies wanted at least 1 years experience for which I was starting to worry, then I saw the ad for HGV recruitment for newly qualified drivers.
I applied and within a week, I had an interview for a big supermarket chain and I am now on a temp to perm and loving it.
I can’t thank HGV recruitment enough.
